1. First, you need to choose a depository participant which is registered with SEBI. you need to see if the Depository is registered with NSDL or CSDL. You can open a demat account with either of them.

3. Then you have to co-operate for the in-person verification where a person from the DP’s office will contact you to verify all the details.
4. If the verification is successful and the documents submitted are all correct then you receive your Id and Password and the account is opened.
